Exonet - Posting to the General Ledger

Whilst you might have entered the transactions into the Sub Ledger, they have not yet made it to the General Ledger.

Unlike programs like Jiwa which was built with a live General Ledger posting facility, MYOB Exo (Exonet) requires you to post whenever you want your transactions to flow through to the General Ledger. Some people like this as it gives them more control but it does confuse some others.

Each month (or as often as you like) you need to post the transactions you entered into the sub ledger (Debtors, Creditors, Stock) to the General Ledger.

To do this you need to go to Utilities, Ledger Postings, Post Debtors to GL and Post Creditors to GL

The following screen will open.

If you click on the “Unposted” button you will get a screen where you will be able to “Scan” for any unposted transactions.

To actually post you will need to “Extract” and then “Post to GL”
